HMSA Installs First Multi-Slice CT Unit

Hitachi Medical Systems America recently completed the first installation of its new CXR-4 CT system at the HealthSouth Outpatient Imaging Facility, located in Duncanville, TX. Fully operational within three installation days, the multi-slice CT unit was accompanied by applications training from HMSA’s technically knowledgeable staff. Another CXR-4 installation has already been scheduled in Miami Lakes, FL.
Hitachi’s CXR4 is a clinical application and performance-driven multi-slice CT featuring high quality imaging, efficient workflow, and Hitachi’s tradition for high reliability. By combining the advantages of a high efficiency ceramic detector array with proprietary technologies for high pitch acquisitions, real-time reconstruction and display, large volume data transmission, and advanced clinical application software, Hitachi has created a multi-slice CT solution that is expansive in clinical applications, easy for the user to operate and comfortable for the patient.
