THE IMAGING CENTER AT BAXTER VILLAGE FIRST IN SOUTHEAST U.S. TO INSTALL HITACHI OASIS HIGH-FIELD MRI

The Imaging Center at Baxter Village announces it is the first in the Southeast United States to install Hitachi’s OASIS™ high-field magnetic resonance (MR) imaging system – providing the most advanced patient-friendly diagnostic imaging techniques currently available in the healthcare industry. The center, located in Fort Mill, S.C., is a full service facility offering MRI, CT, Digital X-Ray and Ultrasound.
“The Imaging Center at Baxter Village has been designed around the patient,” said Dr. Geoffrey Gilleland, Rock Hill Radiology Associates. “With that in mind, we chose the Hitachi OASIS because of its open architecture and strength. Patient satisfaction from a truly open MRI design has obvious value, but to choose a magnet simply because it is ‘open’ would be a disservice if the magnet could not perform to the highest industry standards. The multichannel coils and gradient performance of the OASIS made our decision easy. The OASIS 1.2 Tesla high-field open magnet gives us the image quality for the diagnostic confidence expected from our radiologist and needed by our physician community.
